Well, dear friends, all good things must come to an end, and thus, my three-week adventure in Denmark, Norway, and Iceland is over. We got home this evening after a long day-and-a-half of traveling. We're tired, a little sad to have to go back to normal life, but also, in some ways, happy to be home. Our garden is in full bloom...tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, green beans, green peppers, and herbs galore are ready for the taking, and our salad this evening was chock-full of them! The sunflowers are now taller than Husband! What a difference 3 weeks makes! We are looking forward to sleeping in our own bed tonight after 3 weeks of an assortment of sleeping locales. It is nice to be in our own little apartment in our familiar neighborhood. Road signs no longer look like gibberish (the ones in Iceland, especially, really did)! And we are excited to tell everyone about our travels. They were truly magnificent! It was wonderful to spend lots of quality time with Husband, his amazing sister Zauditu, and their kind and generous parents. It was also such a pleasure to hang out with B & C in Iceland, and to meet B's lovely family. And we also met many fun people along the way, especially on our cruise. What an amazing trip!!! I feel absurdly lucky and blessed to have had the chance to take this journey. Check back for some stories and pictures from our travels over the next few days and weeks.
While we were away, I missed the b-day of Cambridged on July 13. Hope you had a fun and relaxing day, dear friend, and I wish you a ga-zillion happy returns!
Hope all of you had a good July. More soon! Love and hugs to all!
